Passive family house - international architectural competition (4th prize)
Kemeru National park, lake Valgums, Latvia, year 2007

Site situated in National park has inspired to create a building that lives in close connection with nature. Building is adapted to its surrounding environment (slope, forest, lake) by the shape of the building and usage of materials. Building is designed according to ecological and passive house principles. Correct orientation of rooms and protection from cold helps to save a lot of energy. Arched corners is an attempt to change trajectories of warm / cold air flows.
