Latvian Architecture Award 2015

Pavilion and Workshops of Nature Concert Hall has received Latvian Architecture Award 2015! Altogether 38 projects were submitted for the prestigious prize this year. From these13 works were selected by national jury and presented to five international architects - Andrew Anderson, (AU), Noah Boe-Whitehorn (DK), Annie Cohen-Solal (FR), Octavio Mestre (ES), Triin Ojari (EE). The highest accolade in Latvian architecture received 5 projects, amongst them - Pavilion and Workshops of Nature Concert Hall. Jury comments: „The outdoor installation proves how skillful use of architectural techniques can create a rational yet innovative and striking experience of space, even if it is just temporary”.

The Latvian Architecture Awards is an annual national competition with the aim of identifying and promoting the best accomplishments of Latvian architecture and stimulating the development of high-quality architecture. It is the largest event in Latvian architecture, recognized as a nationally significant occasion and the award itself is the highest accolade in Latvian architecture. The Latvian Architecture Awards has been organised every year by the Latvian Association of Architects since 1995, so this is the 20th anniversary year.
